Gratitude opens the heavens for us to see that God has gifts, treasures, and miracles of provision waiting for us along our path.
Have you ever found yourself despairing over what you lack in some way? Have you ever watched as someone else succeed in something you wanted to do, but felt you lacked opportunity?
Maybe you feel like you don’t have the resources or abilities to accomplish what you want to in life?
It’s easy to get caught up in what we don’t have and overlook what we do have.
But instead of focusing on our lack, what if we rejoice in what God has already provided!
In the Bible, there are many examples of people who accomplished great things with very little.
- Moses only had a staff, yet he brought the Israelites across the Red Sea.
- David only had a slingshot, but he killed the enemy of their nation.
- And a boy in the New Testament only had two small fish and five bread buns. Yet, from that small amount, five thousand men, plus women and children, were fed!
These examples show us that God has a way of miraculously multiplying the small things we already have to accomplish greater things than we can ask or even imagine.
It’s not about the size of our resources or abilities, but about our willingness to trust in God and use what we have.
When we focus on what we lack, we limit ourselves and our potential! Then because of our lack of faith, we even limit God!
However, when we focus on what we do have in gratefulness and faith, we open ourselves up to God’s miraculous works!
We may not have everything we think we need, but we have enough to get started. All you need is the first step.
So instead of despairing over what you lack, take a moment to reflect on what you do have!
Maybe you have a supportive family, a good education, or a kind heart. You certainly have specific talents and abilities.
God asked Moses, “What is in your hand?” (Exod 4:2). So, I ask you what is in your hand?
Whatever those things are, rejoice in those things and allow God to use them to accomplish even greater things.
Trust in God to multiply your efforts and provide what you need along the way.
Remember, it’s not about what you lack, but about what God has already provided.
As I was writing this, I saw in the Spirit a winding dirt roadway/pathway. At each bend were packages wrapped up in pretty paper with bows on top. I knew by the Spirit that in each box was a miracle treasure you needed for the next part of the path.
The miracle treasure packages were just sitting on the path waiting for people to walk that way!
Wow, friend, I am amazed right now! God already has a provision miracles for each step we take!
Trust in Him and watch as He works amazing miracles in your life!
Action Steps:
1. First, think about what things you already have at hand and thank God for those. Maybe make a list prayerfully with God.
2. Think about the things you you would like to do? Write those down as dreams and goals.
3. Now, ask God for the first step, and be aware of ideas that come to mind. This is one of the ways He speaks. Just write and don’t judge right now. You don’t have to have each step figured out. Right now just believe, and watch as God begins to bring things to pass in your life.
